Back on track

This was being snapped 6 weeks ago, i think? We were revising for Professional Practice 2 with Ck(right), our sifu. Yusri`s (left) constant enquiries via bbm certainly did helped me in my previous exam, at least it sparkled our doubts on certain areas.

Oh did i mention that i failed one of my papers last trimester? When the result was released, i have "passed" shown on every subjects, but there is a "supp" on the academic status. Only I realised that, oh shit supplimentary exam. I must admit that I was so nervous at that moment and even started to think on what would happen for my year of extension. Anyhow, i managed to pass my supp exam, Thank God(s). So this trimester, no more shortcuts on memorising caselaws and provisions!

So, week1 of 2nd trimester of epsilon year. My housemate kicked it start with the key left behind at his hometown.

Ended up borrowed a cutter(?) from Indian restaurant`s boss, who can be considered as our buddy already as we always eat/hang out at his place.

Starting from this trimester onwards, there is one fipper corner at our unit.

Overtime @ Hatten Square. Had 3 pints of Starker within 2 hours. Damn gassy can!

Last 2 weeks ago, went to Klang for Choon Hong`s long call at MRCB Building. Finally a lawyer! How time flies, I still could recall the last time he, ck and me were playing football manager almost everyday and night.

But no thanks to the dengue, he couldnt enjoy his big day to the max. And since he was in sick, ck, his gf and me were so afraid of troubling his parents who traveled from Klang to SJMC twice a day to visit him at hospital. So we went to PJ to look for ck`s cousin.

What a disastrous week we had, turned out wern got chicken pox, which being ruled out by us as she wouldnt be feeling so well if really it`s chicken pox. But yes, it`s chicken pox. Left with no options, she went back to AS for recovery.

A monkey was spotted to help this puppy in Thailand due to the most serious flood encountered by Thailand in the past 50 years.

In China, a little girl, Yue Yue was being hit by cars twice while crossing the road and there were more than 1 passerby witnessed this incident but didn`t give any assistance.

What had happened on mankind? Even animals are more 'humane' than human itself.

Done with final exam on 29th of Sept, went to Shad`s place for BBQ on 30th, flew back to JB from LCCT on 1st of Oct, and flew to Guangzhou, China on the 2nd.

Airbus A380, no we did not fly to China on this plane, A330 instead. Great air stewardesses and service from them. *thumbsup!*

In flight entertainment system by SIA, and the in flight meal provided by SIA. Oh did i mention about the free flow beverage?

Reached Guangzhou in the afternoon, hence stayed in the city for a night before heading back to the village on the next morning.

What a ironic poster.

A cup of hot mocha costs 18 RMB, which almost equivalent to 9 Ringgit, but there is no GST.

After a few days of staying in the village, off we went back to the Guangzhou city before we go back to our country.

Went out with the buddies again on last night.

@Sagittarius Cafe, Austin Heights.

All of us ordered this drink named after horoscope. It was just a mixture of soda+juice+a scope of vanilla ice cream. Normal only, not to say very special.

Anyhow we were actually planned to give wen pink a birthday surprise but she already knew it hours ago. Anyway, happy birthday in advance wen pink!

Second round - Overtime @ Plaza Sentosa

This was actually my second visit within 3 days.

Loo Ah Lame. Aiya forgot to snap a 'after beer' picture of her. Her blood circulation is as good as mine, even drink abit only also will face red like an apple.

A mat salleh srank until too high, started to get on the table and dance, and take off the shirt slowly. Everyone were snapping picture of him.

After drinking session, we had supper at a restaurant opposite OT.

Spotted a hotdog (sausage`s length) and its` so cute! hopefully not a stray dog, He is just too cute to be a stray dog! We came to conclusion that he is just being bored at home and sneaked out to have some supper.

专访马大校长：“去外面看世界” 学生勿封闭生活

（八打灵再也1日讯）高斯贾斯蒙敦促学生不要活在“封闭的世界里”。

“去外面看看，世界是什么。”

他以多媒体大学的校园开放风气与马大相比，他说，学生有自由，但不要滥用。

早阵子，他在马大的学生选举中推行电子投票，但学生抗议；他敦促马大生加强英文掌握能力，却被视为他把马来文边缘化。

同样在多媒体大学推行这些计划，每个学生可以接受，但到了马大，却处处受阻，问题出在哪里？

大学生需要更开放

“我只能说一些马大学生，他们需要更开放，如果其他大学都采用，为何你们不肯改变？如果他们对校方处处抱着怀疑的态度，肯定每样计划都会有问题。”

“不要活在封闭的世界里，看看外面的世界，外国的大学生在做些什么？”

此外，他促学生不要把政治带进马大，学生在法律允许下，享有自由。

别把政治带进校园

他不否认一些学生受到政党的影响，但他提醒，不要把政治带进校园。

“学生不能违反法律，如果每个人随意违法，国家就无法安宁。”

“我认为不应参与政治，在马大，人们如果知道我支持某个政党，我无法管理好马大，因为与你不同阵营的人，一定会反对你。”

他笑称：“现在马大发生反对我的事情，不是因为我有政治背景，而是不满我的转型计划。”

“他们不满我的转型计划，我一点都不担心，因为每个有思考能力的人，都知道这样的转型会使马大朝向更好的方向。”

询及如果学生要参政，他的意见是，这是他们的意愿，但不要因为政治意识形态不同而分党派，因为这是不对的。

“去到哪都有反对声” 高斯贾斯蒙无限感叹

高斯贾斯蒙感叹说，他去到哪里，都有人反对他。

他说，当年他掌管多媒体大学在10年后，该大学学生人数大增至2万2000名学生，并达到财务自主。

讲到这里，他眼神露出自豪的光彩，还来个自我安慰：“他们或许生气，但在心里却爱我。”

高斯贾斯蒙掌校3年，因推行学术、人力资源转型，都一直饱受压力，马大未来达到独立自由的财务转型，令他充满斗志。

146教员辞职

他接受访问时，正值有报道指他掌校3年里头，有146名教职人员，因为不满他的作风而辞职的风波。

他坦言，他不怕这些攻击，因为有思考能力的人，只要一看他推行的3项转型，就知道一定能把马大带上国际顶尖大学的排名榜上。

交换计划开拓学生视野

现年55岁的高斯贾斯蒙认为，20多岁的大学生有足够的思考能力，但因缺乏人生经验，使他们无法掌握整体的状况。

“回想我20多岁的时代，有时也觉得自己当时的行为不明智。

“智慧和知识不同，你可以看年轻人驾车没耐性，当他们到我这年龄就不会这样。

“年轻时，往往缺乏经验有时你看不清一些状况，当你像我这么年纪，你经历过，你更有智慧。”

为了打开学生的视野，他做了多项学生交换计划，单在去年，马大就有1600名学生被派出国。

马大也把Liverpool John Moores大学的World of Work(WoW)计划引进校园，训练就读马来研究和回教研究的学生，因为他们英语较其他科系生差，就业率也是最低的。

他希望这批学生接受训练后，能打开他们的视野。

outing with buddies

First day of Hari Raya, went to Desaru Beach with buddies.

Alfred poses before we went into the sea.

After an hour of playing in the sea, we were so exhausted until we thought already few hours passed already.

Next stop, we went to the fruit farm and bought some fruits from there at very reasonable price.

Right after that, we wanted to go to the famous restaurant in sungai rengit nearby pengerang. Somehow, dont know why, we reached the Jetty pulak. Ish.

After some tries and errors, finally we found it. It was so people mountain people sea (direct translation from chinese proverb, means crowded) until we have to stand beside the table and give some pressure to the diners there to finish up the food quickly.

It is an "as seen on tv" award winning restaurant.

And this is the dai gor, lobsters! This is the signature dish of this restaurant and it costs at RM12o/kg. Reasonable not?

Jade Garden Seafood Corner. Serves no pork hence its a malay friendly restaurant which i saw a couple of malays da pao crabs and lobsters from them.

That`s Atuffah, Rock, and me reading amirul`s 'magazine' after breaking fast at Irshad`s place. We call it pencuci mulut.

Now when we talk about yumcha session, shouldn`t it be of heavy talking and crapping session? But, head-downers detected.

Head-downers mean one`s head is down, facing the phone screen and smiled secretly while during yumcha/lepak session. Thats the bad thing of owning a BlackBerry.

Choon hong came back to Melaka to look for us for a day out.

Seoul Garden. Our beautiful memories there. Stuffed the unfinished food underneath the pot and walked away. That`s what we`d do in case of excessive food to avoid penalty.

The controversial much novel. After reading it, why is it so controversial? People tend to fit themselves into the subject matter. Take one step back, and have a broader picture cannot?

PP lecture is so boring until i can fall asleep before her literally. *actually thanks to the El Classico on the night before the lecture with Ck, Karen, and ChongPei at Mcd Melaka Mall. Well i should have skipped the class lor*

That night itself we managed to psycho-ed karen to watch movie with us instead of go back to home and do assignment as we promised to help her on that if she watchs movie with us. Well, bad decision, lousy movie, until i can tweet and bbm in the cinema theatre.

Weekend dinner with housemates at Jonker Street`s goreng-goreng restaurant. Nice fried pork ribs cooked with salted eggyolks.

This trimester`s futsal we brought in some juniors to join us and they are not bad afterall, just that lack of experience, like what we have faced in the past.

From adiPower to adiSala. Sigh it`s destined that adiPower is not meant for me. Only wore for once and there`s already a crack at the tip of the toe there? Ok maybe its the poor finishing by the factory. Wanted to get an exchange of the same model from adidas @ Dataran Pahlawan but then they only have one pair for size 10, wtf? Not to say boosting or what, but i really back to my top form of futsal career after switching to adiPower. Hopefully adiSala will do the same for me.

Week 10 - one more pending midterm test and 4 more assignments to be handed in within 3 weeks` time.

The post-legal attachment-syndrome disorder is happening on me now. Being so lazy to do tutorial questions, lazy to study for midterm tests, lazy to memorise case law, feeling so listless while in the lecture hall, and even do not have the motivation to start doing assignments. This is the thing where many seniors have told us on the aftermath of legal attachment. So, the last midterm test for this trimester is up in another 16 hours` time more, with 2 presentation on tuesday, life have never been so good to me.

For the thing/incident/issue recently,

at least for me, friendship shouldn`t be so fragile and got affected by tiny matter, and also, not be used up by friends too. I do not see the point of maintaining the relationship as friends anymore when we befriended with others just for the motive or purpose to get the notes from them. That`s really pointless. Friendship is about sharing the tears and joys together. the word "brother" or "sister" shouldn`t be hung on the mouth when the act and thinking are not being synchronized together. Or should be known as, coursemates only.

How i hope things will be back to the good old time, but due to the ghost (egoism) in our hearts, it is so unlikely to happen.

National anthem(s) time

Some of the Malaysians were really not steady enough, why would them boo-ed at Singapore`s national anthem? Rivalry and respecting other country`s national anthem are 2 different matters. Buat muka saja.

In the end, it was Singapore whom gets to proceed to the next round of world cup qualifying eventhough Malaysia fought so hard to make a comeback of at least 2 goals` margin. Somehow, Malaysia simply could not outbeat Singapore, which is powered by 5 foreign players and their excellent acting talents and skills safeguarded them. Perhaps in the future, we would get to see Qiu Li (11), Shi JiaYi (7), and their goalkeeper on cinema screens.

p/s : my first medal won from sport event. Hopefully this will be my last participation in MMU Olympic.

How time flies, it`s week 5 already.

Four years ago, so many of us applied to come to MMU to further our studies, and from alpha to beta, beta to gamma, gamma to delta, and now finally an epsilon year`s student.

From nerd look, to now looked abit professional ( because of the full formal dresscode of 3 days out of 5)

Professional practice, civil procedure, criminal procedure, law of evidence, and jurisprudence.

All sound so professional, sound so sophisticated.

I am still cracking my head out on how to study for PP`s midterm and the assignments.

Anyhow, i believe that nothing is impossible if we managed to make a breakthrough from Delta year, with land law and company law awaiting there to terminate us.

Now, it`s just like a timeline is there for us to fill in the steps of when should we apply this and that.

We can do this!

Universal Studio Singapore & ors

Day 2 in Singapore, went to Singapore`s Universal Studio @ Sentosa.

This morning went to St. David High School for their food and fun carnival, no la actually we took part in the futsal competition. Our team consisted of me, oon, rishi, imran, kethes, and prasad. Many MMU students took part as well. But with only one court and 16 teams which the minimum interval time between the current and next game will be at least 30 minutes. Its like played for 10 minutes, rest for 30 minutes. How would the body works like that?

Anyway, today`s event was being officiated by CM Datuk Ali Rustam and he happened to came to the futsal court as well. He shaked hand with each of us and he is really a friendly chief minister. He showed his talent in futsal also as he managed to score a penalty tryout out of 2 attempts and managed to make a'crucial' save of a penalty kick.

Eventhough we kena tapao-ed, still it was a nice experience to play along with rishi, kethes, imran and prasad.

Day 1 @ Singapore

Day 1 in Singapore.

We ( me and lil auntie`s family stayed at Big auntie`s place throughout the 3 days` trip)

On day 1, we went to Mount Faber, underwater world and sightseeing around Singapore.

1st stop : Mount Faber.

Instead of driving to Sentosa Island, we went there via Cable car. Nice scenery.

So Underwater world.

Sea Lions Show. The trainer is quite hot btw. Tanned skin.

Up next, Merlion Park.

They have got Starbucks Coffee operates under a flyover.

Then, Duck Ride @ Singapore Flyer`s complex.

just my random at 3am in the morning. I dont know why but this ran into my mind while i was having shower just now after futsal session with classmates. There is no things that cannot be solved, it is just who will take the initiative first, in this face-priority society where people will deem that he whom starts first is conceding for his wrongdoings of which it is just a very minor one where need no to go until the awkward stage where do not talk to each other anymore. Having an extra friend is always better than having an extra enemy.

Translation for mandarin illiterate - A Singaporean accused that Malaysia Immigration officers were trying to ask for 'coffee money' from him as he just renewed his passport and didn`t bring along the old one.

My opinion on this issue - Don`t complain via newspaper la, why not complain on the spot and he chooses to tolerate with the officers` request? Stay firm on his ground. Perhaps the 50 ringgit are nothing for him but it`s the matter of principle.

This entry will be divided into 2 parts. Part 1 was inspired by Tan Choon Hong`s Facebook status update.

So He was my former roommate before he managed to graduate. He is not only roommate to me, but to certain extend he enlightened me alot in many things. He may looked not so serious, but trust me, he is serious when he is.

We did many things together, also with ck, known as 3P. Futsal, dramas, breakfasts, FM and many more. Those were the fun days where either me or him wakes up 1st, then the former shall fill the kettle with fresh water and boil it so that we can make a cup of kungfu coffee to start off a brand new day. After the mood is stabled, then we shall load last night`s EPL hailights to watch, or ejek either mu or liverpool, if they performed badly.

Then he`d check his laundry basket and selectively take some to ck`s place to wash, also to drag him down to play FM.

Weekdays` nights are even crazy. After my 'daily workout' @ library,if we r not too tired, then ck will always be showing up after a few minutes and there we go with the midnight FM frenzy, but normally due to my sleepiness, it would ends at 3am.

And ya, morning dimsum session of us the trio with jax is a must also. Everyone with their all time favourite. Jax with his nai you bao, choon with his everything ( means most of the food there), ck with his siewmai, and me and my charsiewbao. The bill moment is always fun too cos we got to have stanley look-alike boss to attend us.

However happy moment passes very fast. Choon had already graduated for almost 1 year while jax is graduating soon. Hopefully the friendship between me and ck would last.

The passed weekend i went back to my kampung for qingming and watched whu vs mu @ a very vintage coffee shop which used to own a big black box tv, but now changed to a plasma tv d, all the bookies there discussed the winnings/losings with the 'investers'.

6.20am.

Famous Kampung Manchis` wantanmee. Many KL, N9 ppl would purposely come down to my kampung to eat this. And thanks to them, the price is now more and more KL friendly. There are total 2 stalls/shops selling wantanmee and which one is better? well it depends on the depth of ur wallet cos there is one stall is very well known for its sharpness in cutting customers` wallets.

The past Friday marked the end of week 3 and say hello to week 4.

How time passed and now almost 1/3 of legal attachment is over. Still students` life is better than working, as least there will no be tensed up condition for continuous of 8 hours. Back in campus, the most is only 2 hours` of lecture.

I`ve been missing all my friends back in Melaka, missing all the lepak sessions after futsal. From crowded mamak until we are the only table remained there, and that was already 4-5am.

I`ve been missing the football watching sessions @ Habeeb as well with ck and Junior, also Oon.

Nevertheless, doing legal attachment with my current boss is a pleasure, actually. He is a very nice boss.Never scold people and he encourages me to ask and do not fear of mistakes. Now its the time to make mistake, says him.

I just hope that my lady boss will forget what she said before, that pass me a conveyancing file.Its so confused to handle with conveyancing matter. Yes its easy money but then easy to the extend of putting a signature at the bottom of the paper and certainly not during the preparations. This was resulted on my firm`s conveyancing clerk, everyday leave the office at 7pm, and that is the earliest one.

Anyhow, shall not think too much. Let it runs smoothly and eventually back to the normal campus` life on Jun.

Last trimester`s result was being released on last friday and as usual, my result is deteriorating. No eye to look at the CGPA.

Congratulations to those whom had achieved excellent result, and also to those whom didnt perform well, try harder next trimester.

For the very first time, i didnt ask others on their results except they are willing to tell me by themselves. The further we are, the tougher we`d face. What Miss Sik told us before is, somehow, correct.

No lecturers want, or wish to fail their students, only students fail themselves.

Last minute preparation is the main cause, at least to my point of view. It is just impossible to get everything into our minds in such a short period.

This is just my random thoughts in this hour. No specifications towards whosoever. Please dont 对号入座ya.

Note to self: Next trimester, prepare myself for exam much, much earlier before the exact exam date, not on the morning of the exam itself only start to memorise the cases` names.

Legal Attachment, firm that i attached with.

This firm has only one lawyer, whom is my master as well. Mr Simon Tay Lai Eng is his name.

My sis` friends aka chambering students in JB always say he looked like supermario. maybe the misai part la.

He is a very nice guy, so far. Apart from that, my firm has got 2 junior clerks, one deals with conveyancing matters while the other one deals with litigation matters. There is another one more senior clerk, Mrs Tay aka my master`s wife whom is in charge of financial matters.

For this first week, basically i have done some clerical jobs and also some draftings. Sometimes my master`d discuss cases that he is handling so far, and he`d assign me to draft necessary replies on these cases.

I really enjoyed working in this firm, at least i have got works to do and learn everyday.

11 weeks more to go!

Tomorrow is the day, the day where we will be away from law school for 3 months and be working for 3 months as well.

Legal attachment, it is. Fortunate enough, you won`t be ended up rotting in the office for 3 months and seldom you will meet your supervisor, so what i`ve heard from the seniors previously. They can even knock off after lunch hour and go for a movie.

Firms that are too small, you will be working like a bull. non stop working such as making coffee, photostating documents, or even become office boys / girls.

I really hope that she can find the way back to home, on top of that she is not being abducted by those foreign workers and being cooked into meals.

eventhough she is not of any breed, somehow throughout these 3 years we`ve developed our friendship. Every morning she`d find her way to my bed and wake me up with her wet tongue. To me she is more to a human rather than dog.

I dont really pray to God, but i hope, Please God lead her back to where she belongs to.

So i had my last dimsum session with Jax just now ( as in he as a law student in melaka hopefully) and it is just so amazing that how things developed throughout the years.

I still remembered my first glance at him during my foundation year, " wah this guy so small size but looked so cocky". But in fact, he is not. He is a very friendly guy and also very helpful. he might always looked troubled and emo, but he is, no doubt, a real friend.

After months of preparation, everyone`d just want a smooth night where there`s no delay on the arrival of guests. Somehow, the always happened scene, happened again. Ms. Hendon, the Deputy Chairperson of Professional Standards and development Committee of the Malaysina Bar was late again. However, she didnt want it to be happened too as she had a court case on the day itself and only managed to depart from KL at 6pm. Given her age, she is driving a manual car all the way from KL to Melaka just to attend our dinner because she said she already promised to come and she will come even if its late already. She is a very fine and nice lady and you will not feel the pressure while having conversation with her, unlike talking with other lawyers.

Law night 2011 also marked the final involvement of me in MULS` activities as committee members. Hopefully next year i can attend the law night as the graduating batch of student.

Just came back from the meeting session with my academic advisor, miss manique cooray.

She is a very nice lecturer, also can be a good friend too. She is very caring towards her advisees, and most of the time, i would think that getting 7, 8, or 9 out of a 20 marks` midterm is still considered ok. But after seeing her, you will feel like just broke her heart.

I got 9 marks for my computer and IT law`s midterm, which before seeing her, i think it`s a not very bad result. But then, looking into her disappointed face, sense of guilty will pop up out of nowhere.

" you were not like this before, too much of co-curiculum activities? i know you are busy with some events right now, but in the end what you get? focus more on your academic ya ng?"

What she said may be true, maybe, perhaps, i should really work out on my Computer and IT law 2.

Another reason, may be that, we thought Land and company law are the toughest subjects and put too much of priority on them rather than other subjects.

Seriously it`s time to work this out. i must not disappoint her.

Dogs and human

The death of an Irishman caused by 2 mongrels is a hot issue now, may it to the animal lover and non animal lover.

The bright side to this issue is that the vet department decided to observe this 2 dogs for another 10 days to see if they have any diseases that may lead to the attack of this 2 dogs towards the irishman.

My point of view is that, a dog would not simply attack human being. Do not think that a dog is born to attack. The quote " dogs are men`s best friends" surely have the reason behind it.

For instance, my house in JB is actually located in a malay-majority area, and my dogs would bark at those malay kids and it puzzles me too. Are they so sick of malay kids?

so one day, i sat at one corner and observed them. It was actually those malay kids, whom have the perception that dogs attack people and they actually prepared some stones and threw at my dogs. So till then finally i knew the reason why my dogs always bark at them.

What i wanted to say is that, dogs are kind actually. It is the fear that lies in you make you feel insecure when seeing dogs.

Went to the CLS cny carnival stuff at clc concourse in this afternoon with one of the working committee, chin hong, my former housemate and played a few games over there. not bad la.

So its new year night and we all went for a foot massage at ck`s shop. no lah i m just kidding. happened to passed by this foot massage shop nearby establishment.

Ya establishment, a newly opened cafe/bistro/pub/lounge at melaka raya. a nice place to hang out with friends.

In conjunction with the victory, our PM declared today as public holiday.
